Ricky Gervais Show Season 3 Ep9 part 2/6
February 2nd, 2010
www.rickygervaisshow.com for easier browsing and listening to the shows. These are all the Episodes of the old Ricky Gervais Show from Xfm that I have. Starting from the early years right up to the last show they did before moving on to podcasts. Great to hear the evolution of Karl from a background figure to eventually completely taking over the show. Hope you enjoy them.
love how hurt karl gets when rockbusters gets slagged off
The UK Office is for people with a sense of humour. Brilliant.
Lived in the US for two years, their Office isn’t bad, but as with all US comedy it’s obvious and needs to be spoon fed to them.
Well it’s not just that. The US Office skews to a much broader appeal on purpose. They are trying to make a different show, a much shallower and more disporable junk entertainment sitcom, whereas the UK Office was a seminal and inspired personal project tantamount to genius.
I don’t see much point in comparing the UK and US Office: It’s comparing apples and a-head-like-a-fucking-orange….
The US’ is making 100s of episodes with a huge group of (yeah, talented) writers and directors… The UK’s is a different animal– brief, and with two auteurs.
They’re not even TRYING to be the same type of show…
Anyway, thanks Telepop!
“In this next episode, you’ve got to remember, the cat is bigger than the house.”
Don’t know what coolhandlukas13’s problem is, but we all know that OUR version of The Office shits all over the Yank one.
Just so we’re clear, you are a cunt, & we are better than you
